The Pelican Nebula

Located approximately 2,000 light-years away, the Pelican Nebula is a vast star-forming region located in the constellation of Cygnus.

Its distinctive silhouette appears amid a complex network of gas and dust, shaped by the radiation of the young stars forming within it.

From Light to Image

The processing of this image aims to preserve the depth created by these different layers of gas and dust.

The acquisitions were calibrated and combined before working on the colors, contrast, and details to produce the final image.
